A Note from the Artist
We live on this island. We felt the winds shift that day, saw the smoke rise, and have carried the weight of what was lost ever since. The Lahaina Fires didn’t just destroy buildings—they changed the lives of everyone who calls Maui home, and left a mark on the hearts of millions who hold Lahaina dear.
In the wake of that devastation, a few of us local artists have chosen to do what we know best—create. Some of our recent work uses charred wood recovered from the fires. With the blessing of our community and a deep sense of responsibility, we’ve turned remnants of destruction into pieces of remembrance, resilience, and reverence.
This is not art for art’s sake. It’s art in honor. Art with purpose.
10% of proceeds from every Lahaina Fire Wood piece will go directly to those still affected—our neighbors, friends, and families—and to the ongoing efforts to rebuild Lahaina with dignity and care.
We share this with humility, and hope you understand the heart behind these pieces.
